Danielle’s Priorities for Colorado’s Future

Colorado’s path to a prosperous middle class, schools that thrive, a strong economy, and a safe infrastructure starts here.

Danielle is deeply committed to addressing the most pressing issues impacting students, families, and schools in Colorado. Her top priorities include advocating for increased sustainable school funding, strengthening our public schools, and supporting teachers through competitive pay, professional development, and improved staffing and retention strategies.

With a strong background in mental health, she emphasizes the urgent need to support student well-being and belonging, by expanding access to mental health resources and leveraging community partnerships. Danielle also supports early childhood investments, believing that a strong start sets the foundation for lifelong learning and higher graduation rates.

She is dedicated to closing the achievement gap by identifying and addressing the systemic barriers that hinder student success, and she advocates for equity across the district, ensuring that every child—regardless of background—has access to a high-quality education. Through data-driven strategies, inclusive dialogue, and collaborative action, Danielle aims to build a school system where all students thrive.

Danielle believes that every Colorado family deserves access to the essentials that support a healthy, stable life—affordable housing, quality healthcare, reliable childcare, and economic opportunity. Too many hardworking families are struggling to make ends meet as the cost of living continues to rise. Danielle will advocate for policies that expand access to affordable housing through responsible development and rent protections, lower healthcare costs while improving access to mental health and reproductive care, and increase support for affordable, high-quality childcare. She understands that when families have access to these foundational resources, communities become stronger, children have better outcomes, and the economy thrives. Her approach centers on practical, people-first solutions that ease the burden on everyday families and help them build a more secure future.
As a Colorado small business owner herself, Danielle understands firsthand the challenges and opportunities that come with being a business owner. Supporting small businesses is one of the most effective ways to strengthen our local economy and build vibrant, resilient communities. Small businesses create jobs, drive innovation, and keep money circulating within the community. When we invest in entrepreneurs and local enterprises—through access to capital, streamlined regulations, and support for workforce development—we empower the backbone of our economy. She knows that small businesses are the backbone of Colorado’s economy—creating jobs, driving innovation, and contributing to the unique character of our communities.

Danielle believes in creating an environment where small businesses can thrive, from neighborhood shops to family-owned farms to tech startups. By supporting small business growth, we not only boost economic opportunity but also foster community pride, local ownership, and a more inclusive path to prosperity for all Coloradans. Her experience gives her a practical, informed perspective on what small businesses need to succeed—and she’s ready to be their voice in the State House.

Systems of care are comprehensive, coordinated networks designed to support individuals and families in meeting their diverse needs, particularly in areas such as healthcare, education, and social services. These systems integrate resources and services to provide holistic, person-centered care that addresses the whole individual, from mental health and physical wellness to family support and community engagement. Danielle recognizes the importance of building and strengthening systems of care in Colorado to ensure that all Coloradans—especially vulnerable populations—have access to the services they need at the right time and in the right way. By improving the collaboration between healthcare providers, educators, community organizations, and policymakers, we can create more effective, accessible care pathways that improve overall well-being, prevent crises, and foster long-term success for individuals and families.
Danielle understands that Colorado’s natural beauty is not only a defining feature of our state but also a vital resource that supports our economy and quality of life. She is committed to protecting the environment by advocating for policies that promote sustainable practices and ensure long-term ecological health. Danielle will push for increased investment in renewable energy and clean technology to create green jobs and reduce pollution. She supports stronger water conservation efforts to safeguard Colorado’s rivers and other natural resources, recognizing the importance of preserving these vital ecosystems. Danielle also believes in addressing wildfire risks and improving emergency preparedness to protect our communities from the growing threat of wildfires. At the same time, she advocates for common-sense environmental protections that strike a balance between conservation and economic growth, ensuring that Colorado can continue to thrive while preserving its natural heritage for future generations.

Danielle is dedicated to ensuring that all Colorado children, families, and individuals feel safe, supported, and valued in their communities. She believes that safety goes beyond protecting against immediate threats; it involves creating environments where people of all ages can thrive, free from violence, neglect, and hardship. Danielle advocates for stronger support systems, including accessible mental health services, family resources, and community programs that help prevent abuse and provide assistance when needed. She also supports common-sense policies to keep children, families, and all individuals safe from harm, such as improved school security, stronger child protection laws, and programs to address issues like domestic violence, substance abuse, and homelessness. By fostering a culture of care, prevention, and support, Danielle is committed to making sure that everyone—whether children, parents, or community members—can live in a safe, nurturing environment that promotes well-being and a sense of belonging.
